Forty mayors worldwide have committed to a collective framework addressing how data centers should be developed and operated in urban areas, prioritizing sustainability and resource protection. The initiative, launched by C40 Cities during London Climate Action Week, aims to prevent data center expansion from undermining local energy supplies, environmental goals and climate commitments.
