A Washington state facility has started producing synthetic jet fuel by converting captured carbon dioxide and renewable electricity, representing the first commercial-scale operation of its kind in the United States. The plant, developed by California company Twelve, uses a power-to-liquid process to create E-Jet fuel, potentially transforming aviation fuel production methods.
