Californië slaat CO2 permanent op onder de grond in eerste opslag-project

California Resources Corporation has launched its first operational carbon capture and storage facility in Kern County, injecting CO2 from a cryogenic gas plant into depleted oil and gas reservoirs over a mile underground. The Carbon TerraVault I project marks California's initial venture into permanent subsurface carbon dioxide storage.
