Canada has commissioned its largest scientific research vessel, CCGS Naalak Nappaaluk, which will strengthen the coast guard's capacity for Arctic exploration and offshore data collection. The ship is engineered to operate in harsh polar environments where previous vessel limitations had restricted scientific research capabilities.
