China is deploying approximately 8,500 AI-powered robots across its power grid infrastructure this year, with the State Grid Corporation allocating around $1 billion for the initiative. The robots, including 5,000 robot dogs and humanoid units, will handle inspection, maintenance, and monitoring tasks in remote and hazardous locations.
