China's National Supercomputing Center in Shenzhen has unveiled LineShine, a next-generation supercomputer designed to reach 2 exaflops of performance using entirely Chinese-designed chips, storage, and networking technologies. The system is being developed in phases, with the first phase featuring 100 Huawei Kunpeng servers containing 12,800 CPU cores, while subsequent phases will incorporate tens of thousands of additional CPUs.
