DuckLake 1.0: open dataformaat met SQL-catalogus

DuckDB Labs has released DuckLake 1.0, a new data lake format that stores table metadata in a SQL database instead of distributing it across multiple files in object storage. Available as a DuckDB extension, the format includes catalog-stored updates, enhanced sorting and partitioning capabilities, and compatibility with Iceberg-style data features. This approach aims to simplify metadata management for data lake operations.
