Duke University researchers have developed Argus, a spherical robot with 20 extendable legs and cameras distributed across its body, enabling it to move equally well in any direction. Rather than mimicking biological forms, the team prioritized what they call "dynamic symmetry," allowing the robot to navigate without a defined front or back.
