Europe has achieved a major breakthrough in semiconductor independence by completing its first fully domestic manufacturing process for defense-critical chips. GlobalFoundries and Qualinx demonstrated that security-sensitive components can be designed and produced entirely within the continent, strengthening Europe's control over its supply chain for strategically important applications.
