MIT has created autonomous robotic boats that work together to form adaptable floating structures on water. Each robot, measuring 21 centimeters square, features thrusters and magnetic connectors enabling them to link up like modular blocks. The FloatForm system could transform waterways into flexible infrastructure that adjusts to different environmental demands.
