Chinese researchers have created a ceramic solid-state battery that maintains full functionality at temperatures reaching 150°C and can withstand extreme thermal shocks up to 300°C for brief periods. The miniature all-ceramic lithium-ion cells are designed for military and aerospace applications where conventional batteries would fail in harsh conditions.
