German researchers have created a computational technique that dramatically accelerates simulations for the world's most powerful X-ray laser facility. The method, developed at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, speeds up complex analyses of X-ray scattering experiments at the European XFEL by up to 50 times, potentially benefiting fusion energy research.
