Oxford Robotics Institute and Canadian engineering firm AtkinsRéalis have partnered to develop advanced autonomous robots for nuclear energy sites. The robots use Physical AI technology to safely navigate hazardous environments, perform inspections, and map radiation hotspots without exposing human workers to dangerous conditions. The collaboration combines university research with engineering expertise, building on proven field experience at nuclear facilities like Sellafield where ORI systems have already demonstrated their capabilities.
