TotalEnergies bouwt AI-supercomputer Pangea 5 met zes keer meer rekenkracht

TotalEnergies is building Pangea 5, a new AI supercomputer set to launch in 2027 at its research center in Pau, France, in partnership with Dell Technologies and NVIDIA. The system will increase the company's computing power sixfold and cost over 100 million euros, enabling advanced seismic imaging for energy exploration and AI-driven research. Pangea 5 will reduce energy consumption by approximately 40 percent compared to earlier systems while supporting the company's energy transition initiatives and industrial process optimization.
