Perovskite-zonnecellen behouden 98% efficiëntie na 1.200 uur verhitting
Back to overview
Researchers at Rice University have developed a method to significantly improve the durability of perovskite solar cells, a promising low-cost alternative to silicon. By adding chemical additives to the precursor solution, they stabilized the crystal structure and achieved 98% efficiency retention after 1,200 hours of accelerated aging at 194°F. The additives guide crystal growth into the optimal "black phase" that efficiently absorbs sunlight while preventing degradation, potentially enabling more stable and affordable solar technology.
