The Royal Navy will deploy an autonomous underwater robot to the Strait of Hormuz to detect and neutralize sea mines that threaten shipping in the region. The Video Ray Defender Viper system operates in low-visibility conditions without exposing divers to danger, using a torpedo-shaped design to locate and destroy mines.
