Supermicro onder druk: medeoprichter aangeklaagd voor smokkel servers naar China

Back to overview

Supermicro faces significant challenges ahead of its third-quarter earnings report on Tuesday. Co-founder Yih-Shyan Liaw has been charged with allegedly smuggling $2.5 billion worth of Nvidia-equipped servers to China through a Southeast Asian front company, using fake shipping labels and warehouse schemes to deceive auditors. While CEO Charles Liang and the company itself were not named in the indictment and claim to be victims cooperating with authorities, Supermicro has launched an internal investigation that could result in management changes and may take months to complete.
