AI Financial, a publicly traded cryptocurrency company linked to President Trump's family, has acquired Block Street, a crypto infrastructure startup owned by Matthew Morgan, one of the company's own advisors. The deal, valued at up to $43 million, was completed despite Block Street being newly incorporated and not yet generating revenue. Morgan, who previously served as AI Financial's chief investment officer before becoming an unpaid advisor, stated he shopped the business to multiple public companies and rejected higher offers, denying the acquisition constitutes self-dealing.
