China has deployed humanoid robots at its border with Vietnam to manage congestion at a major crossing. The Fangchenggang checkpoint in Guangxi province purchased UBTech Robotics' Walker S2 robots through a roughly $40 million contract to help streamline customs inspections amid heavy daily traffic from trucks, buses and commuters.
