Gulfstream Aerospace tested whether pure sustainable aviation fuel reduces particle emissions that form contrails at high altitudes. The G800 business jet flew at up to 50,000 feet using 100% SAF, marking the first such flight for both the aircraft and its Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engine, while a modified G700 monitored emissions alongside it.
