Kernenergiebedrijf levert stroom aan datacenters met geavanceerde reactoren

Terrestrial Energy, a US nuclear firm, has partnered with data center developer Riot Platforms to deploy multiple 390 MW molten salt reactors generating 4 GW of power. The agreement addresses surging electricity demand from artificial intelligence applications, as major tech companies seek reliable, long-term energy sources to power data centers and large language models. Terrestrial will colocate its advanced fourth-generation reactors at Riot's future data center facilities, combining nuclear expertise with Riot's hyperscale infrastructure capabilities.
