Veel Nederlanders overschatten hun inkomstenbelasting

A December 2025 survey of 1,090 Dutch respondents reveals widespread misconceptions about income tax payments. Participants were asked to estimate what percentage of their 2024 gross annual income went to income tax. The results show that the six lowest income groups significantly overestimate their tax burden, with the lowest earners overestimating by approximately 15 percentage points.
