China zet eerste drijvende windturbine in voor olieboring

China has launched the world's first 16-megawatt tension-leg platform floating wind turbine, a novel offshore technology developed by state oil company CNOOC. The massive structure departed from Zhuhai on June 28 and is headed to the Lufeng oilfield cluster to generate power for fossil fuel extraction operations.
