Grootste werkende tokamak ter wereld start inbedrijfstelling met nieuwe 8-meter spoelen

The world's largest active tokamak, JT-60SA, has entered its commissioning phase ahead of planned plasma experiments in late 2026. European and Japanese researchers will test the reactor's systems and push it toward higher current levels to investigate sustained plasma behavior. Over 150 research proposals are being evaluated for the upcoming experimental campaign.
